Building A Beautiful Outdoor Living Space For A Family In Orland Park IL.
This project is one of our favorites, located in Orland Park, IL. The client was a referral through one of our other clients. When they initially contacted us, they expressed their desire to use their yard after purchasing their new construction dream home.
However, the house came with only a small deck, big enough for a grill and a few chairs, but they disliked it and wanted to make better use of their yard. The primary issue was the yard's deep slope and non-usable space, which remained consistently wet, preventing them from enjoying it despite its size.
In our initial consultation, they informed us of their love for outdoor entertaining and grilling. Another significant problem was their proximity to a poorly maintained large pond, making outdoor enjoyment challenging due to vicious mosquitoes.
Listening to their needs, our landscape design team sprang into action, creating various design concepts. Our main goal was to maximize usable space, allowing them to enjoy their backyard. We suggested a covered gazebo with a mosquito net, providing shelter during rain or shine. Additionally, we proposed landscaping with mosquito-repelling plants to address the mosquito issue naturally.
A second level to their paver patio with a fire pit was also suggested as an added measure against mosquitoes. Once the design was approved, our team worked diligently, and in less than three weeks, these delighted clients were enjoying their transformed outdoor living space.
Yes, for the pavers, we used Hollandstone pavers in Sierra color. For the retaining wall and steps, we used "Olde Quarry" in Sierra color and sandstone color. The lighting system we used was hardscape undercap lights from In-Lite outdoor lighting.
Our clients expressed immense gratitude to our team for completing their outdoor living space and making their dream home complete.
